Arco Cocktail Lounge in Savannah: A Diamond Hour Review

 

The latest from the Ele and the Chef Restaurant Collection to open in Savannah is Arco Cocktail Lounge + Coastal Fare. Resting directly above Historic River Street, Arco is located within a beautiful 1860’s Victorian building ( next to Vic’s on The River). Step off Factor’s walk and through the grand arched doorway into the beautifully renovated lounge with a long hallway of majestic vaults that frame the stunning view of the River.

 

The Diamond Squad picked Arco for our most recent outing as a group and we were nothing less than impressed. Luxe and comfortable, the interior, atmosphere and carefully designed craft cocktails do not disappoint. The décor transports you into a world of sophisticated elegance where you can relax on a velvet couch while taking in the views of the Savannah River. Sip on one of their high quality cocktails, which are broken up into four categories; Classics, Signature, Light and Moderate (lower alcohol) and Non-Alcoholic, which is a fun and refreshing addition to a menu not often found in Savannah.

 

Unanimously, Chanel No. 6 became the new favorite drink with fresh citrus and orange blossom. We all agreed we WILL be going back for another. The food is simple small plates that include items like a charcuterie board, oysters, sushi and pizzas. The oysters were refreshingly light and complimented the cocktails nicely and the honeycomb on the charcuterie board was a much welcomed addition everyone was happy to see (Savannah locals love their bees) ! The waitstaff was all attentive, friendly, and helped to elevate the experience and overall vibe.

 

 

The general consensus after our outing at Arco is that it will not be our last. The location has the potential to be the go-to spot for ladies night, date night and after work happy hours. Honestly, any reason will do to get our hands on another cocktail while we watch the Savannah container ships go by. We rate Arco 5/5? Diamonds.
