While in Dallas, Texas for the Tom Ferry 2022 Success Summit, we learned about market projections for the upcoming year ahead and new ways to better serve our clients. While there we decided to have a little fun, you know work hard, play hard!
On the first night of our trip, we had the pleasure of dining at Meso Maya. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile and a fresh drink. We sampled the Budin Azteca Vegetales and the Herradura Salmon (pictured above). The Budin Azteca Vegetales are a must-try for any vegetable lover. This dish features sautéed vegetables with a roasted creamy tomatillo sauce layered with homemade corn tortillas and melted cheeses. The Herradura Salmon was unforgettable and is served tamarind-glazed with charred brussel sprouts and a chile-guero puree. The drinks were delicious! The Bourbon Margarita was a fun take on an old classic made with Woodford Reserve and El Jimador Tequila. The Pineapple Habanero, made with muddled pineapple and roasted habaneros, is a refreshing and fruity cocktail, perfect for summer with a spicy twist sure to give you a Texas-style kick.
It was a truly unique and unforgettable dining experience, so much so that we ended up back there the very next night! On night two we ordered the Budin Azteca Cameron, a dish of fresh tortillas, shrimp, and queso fresco. Plus the Cochinita Pibil, a traditional dish of Yucatan-style braised pork shoulder, (pictured above) which was tender and full of flavor and it did not disappoint.
Everything at Meso Mayo is made fresh, all of their sauces and tortillas are prepared in-house every morning.
Fun Fact! The plaque pictured was for the building. It used to house an old tortilla factory.
